Serlo Consort feature image

It was a wonderful concert and the choir sounded fabulous. I particularly liked hearing some items I didn't know – indeed, by composers I'd never even heard of. What wonderful discoveries. Thank you!

I hate modern music!

A hugely fun programme of modern secular works, by composers such as Rutter and Chilcott. This can either include set ‘works’ or a selection of shorter items such as: -

  • Rutter Magnificat
  • Chilcott The Making of the Drum
  • Tippett 5 Negro Spirituals (from ‘A child of our time’)
  • Britten Rejoice in the Lamb
  • arrangements of spirituals/gospels
  • close harmony arrangements by the King’s Singers
