The Serlo Consort is a registered company which has adopted the model Memorandum and Articles recommended by the Charity Commission. An application for registration has been made to (and acknowledged by) the Commission and the Company’s charity registration number will appear here as soon as registration has been confirmed.The Company’s charitable objects are:
1. To advance education in the art of singing in schools and local communities in particular but not exclusively by the performance of choral music.

2. To relieve physical and mental illness and to preserve and protect good health by the promotion, provision or assistance in the provision of music.

The Company’s Directors (who are also the trustees responsible for governing the Company, as a charity) are:

The directors delegate the day to day running of the charity to Kit Perona-Wright (the founder and Artistic Director of The Serlo Consort) who directs the smooth running of the choir, and to Emma Perona-Wright who is the Company Secretary, Charity Correspondent, and Supporter Adminstrator.

The Supporter Administrator is responsible for maintaining links with the charities, companies, and individuals who so generously support the Serlo Consort’s charitable activities (please see list of sponsors and ‘Friends’ on this site) The Directors meet at least three times a year to review the activities of the choir and to ensure that the Company, as a charity, fulfils its objects and complies with all its charitable and statutory obligations.

Each of the directors brings valuable experience and skills to the governance of the charity, and the choir is indebted to all the directors for their hard work and tireless commitment.

The artistic direction of the choir is managed by both the Artistic Director, and the Assistant Director, David McKee.

The Company’s ICT needs and website are maintained by Tim Reader.

The Company’s management and statutory accounts are prepared by Nicholas Charles Lewis FCA ACIB who is also appointed by the Directors as the Company’s Reporting Accountant.
